Ship Meetings

Crew meetings for Ship 461 are held on a weekly basis on Thursday nights in the Fellowship Hall of the Zion Mennonite Church, 149 East Cherry Lane, Souderton, Pennsylvania, unless otherwise stated.  The meetings start at 1930 and end no later than 2030.  The first half-hour of each meeting is devoted to Ship business and the balance of the meeting is an advancement activity or special program.

Quarterdeck Meetings

 

The Ship holds a Quarterdeck Meeting every month where the Ship's Petty Officers meet with the Skipper and plan the upcoming month's meetings and programs.  The Quarterdeck Meeting is run by the Ship's Boatswain and is held at a separate time than the Ship's regularly-scheduled meetings.  The Ship's Skipper is available as a mentor and consultant.  The Monthly Quarterdeck meeting is a key component in a Youth-Led Ship and provides the youth petty officers the experience of both running a business meeting and delegating tasks and responsibilities.

Ship Committee Meetings

 

The Ship Committee will generally be meeting on the Second Thursday of each month from 1930 until approximately 2100 in the Library of the Zion Mennonite Church, 149 East Cherry Lane, Souderton, Pennsylvania.  Committee meetings are held at the call of the Committee Chair.

 

 

General Nash District Roundtables

 

The General Nash District holds its District Roundtable meeting every second Wednesday from 1930 until approximately 2100 at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Main Street in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.  The District Roundtable is where adult scout leaders from Cub Packs, Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews, and Sea Scout Ships get together on a monthly basis to share news, hear updates from District and Council leaders, brainstorm issues that have arisen at the unit level, and learn different Scouting techniques.

Cradle of Liberty Sea Scout Squadron Meetings

 

The Cradle of Liberty Sea Scout Squadron holds its meeting on the first Tuesday of the month from 1930 until approximately 2100 at the Council Headquarters Building in Wayne, Pennsylvania.  Squadron meetings are presided over by the Squadron Commodore and include both Ship Officers and Sea Scouts.  The Sea Scout portion of the Squadron meeting is presided over by the Squadron Boatswain.  At Squadron meetings, the Ship's officers learn of developments at the national, regional, and flotilla level and discuss issues that arise in connection with the operation of the Squadron's Ships.  The Ship petty officers plan and discuss Sea Scout and joint Sea Scout-Venture activities to take place on a council-wide basis and discuss issues that arise at the petty officer and crew level relating to the operation of  the Squadron's Ships.
